 Our Offer

Our Nursery provides care for children aged 3 months upwards in 3 areas: Baby Bramleys 3 months-2 years, Blossoming Braeburns 2-3 years and Pre-School Pippins 3 years upwards.

We offer full and part-time places and the ability to book ad hoc sessions if you need that extra bit of time. We can take children in Pre-School Pippins up to the age of 8, so we can offer help to cover school inset days.  All places are subject to availability.

We accept all childcare vouchers and offer 5% sibling discount, discounts for families on certain benefits and Free Early Learning Entitlement for eligible 2-4 year olds.

Your data is important to us. Please see our Privacy Statement if you want to know how we look after it.

We also provide childcare for children up to 14 years in our Clubs:

Breakfast Club and After School Clubs covering Grenoside Primary School

Holiday Club is open to all children and operates during school holidays  (excluding Bank holidays and the Christmas break).

We welcome children with special needs and work alongside Sheffield City Council’s ‘Special Needs Inclusion Play Care Service’.

Our staff team have qualifications covering Childcare, Playwork, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding and regularly attend training courses.

All our childcare provisions are Ofsted registered.

Our Background

Appletree Childcare was established in 1994 and started running out of school clubs in 2000. In 2008, owner Janet Parkin decided to transform Appletree into a Charity and it is now run by a Board of Trustees made up from members of the local community and staff team. This means that all the money generated is put back into the business, covering staff costs, renting the buildings, purchasing toys and learning resources, food and drink etc.

We also rely on charitable donations in order to run the business. This includes Fundraising events throughout the year, sourcing funding and grants, as well as people donating their own time and skills.
